Can I rent a reefer container?
Yes — we offer reefer rentals from 1 month minimum. Rental includes the working refrigeration unit, delivery to your site, and pickup at the end of the rental term. You provide the power supply at destination (3-phase 380V) — or rent a genset from us if needed.
How much does a reefer container cost?
Used reefers start from approximately €3,500 (older NOR units) up to €12,000+ for new factory units. Working used reefers typically €5,500 to €8,500 depending on age, brand and grade. Rental rates from €350-700 per month. Request a quote for current prices in your region.
What is a NOR (Non-Operating Reefer)?
NOR stands for Non-Operating Reefer — a reefer container with the cooling unit disabled or removed. Used as insulated storage at typically 30-40% lower cost than working reefers. Excellent for archive storage, sensitive electronics, food-grade dry warehousing where natural temperature stability is preferred over active cooling.
What temperature range can your reefers maintain?
Standard reefers maintain −30°C to +30°C with ±0.25°C precision. Super-freezer variants (Carrier NaturaLINE Ultra Freezer, Daikin Ultra-Freezer) reach −60°C to −70°C — used for tuna, deep-frozen pharmaceuticals, ice cream.
Do reefers come with documentation?
Yes — every working reefer ships with cooling unit pre-trip inspection (PTI) report, current CSC plate certification, and unit number verification. Pharma-grade transport options also include data logger compatibility for cold-chain audit trails.
Which brand of reefer is best?
All four (Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin, Star Cool) offer comparable performance. Carrier is the global leader by fleet size. Thermo King is strong on cooling performance. Daikin is energy-efficient. Star Cool is the Maersk standard and offers the best Controlled Atmosphere option. Often, the best brand is the one with parts and service available locally.
